Hello everyone, and welcome to Fes! My name is Mohamed, and I’m your local tour guide

I grew up in Fes, where the mornings began with the call to prayer drifting over the old city and the smell of fresh bread rising from the neighborhood ovens. Our house stood in a narrow lane inside the medina, its walls worn smooth by generations of hands and its courtyard filled with sunlight. Every day, I woke to the sounds of life already unfolding: my mother sweeping the tiled floor, my father greeting the neighbors, and children laughing as they hurried to school.
